I have always loved singing, dancing and performing. I took to the stage in grade school, and have stayed there ever since, singing, dancing and acting.
In my early 20’s I began a career in broadcasting which eventually led me to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where I also started playing the guitar. Before long, I formed what became a very popular Cajun band called “Tout Partout.”
Cajun music and Cajun dancing go hand-in-hand. As an avid Cajun-dancer, I soon began teaching others how to 2-step and waltz. This birthed a community of dancers who regularly came out to support our band and Mulate’s restaurant where we played.
I also became a drummer in Baton Rouge and regularly backed the local legend Tabby Thomas in his club, Tabby’s Blues Box . I was thrilled to perform with him at at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage festival back in 1990.
In 1992 I moved to Sedona, AZ which has been my home ever since. It was that same year that Sedona’s Sammy Davis heard me play at a blues jam and offered me the gig as the drummer in his very popular R&B band, the Sammy Davis band.
I spent 10 years playing for Sammy. During our yearly New Year’s eve performances at Loews Ventana Canyon in Tucson, we opened for acts including, Paul Revere and the Raiders, Chubby Checker, Sha Na Na and Mary Wilson and the Supremes. And we LOVED to dress up for Halloween.
In 2015 I decided to take up keyboards and focus on becoming a solo performer. In 2024, after spending a couple of years at open mics around town, I began making myself available for gigs in Sedona and the Verde Valley.
I play an eclectic selection of jazz, pop, and blues with a sprinkling of original tunes. And, as always, I LOVE to perform.
